The federal Equal Pay Act has been the law of the land since 1963.  This act has been established law for 47 years.  Dean supports that law.  The question was referring to the Equal Pay Enforcement Act, SB20 from 2009,  which was passed by Wisconsin Democrats over bipartisan opposition in 2009, with a vote of 18-15 in the Senate and a vote of 51-47 in the Assembly.  No Republican voted in favor of this new law but two Democrats opposed the bill.

A candidate forum was held in River Falls on October 13th.  The forum is currently playing on local access channels on cable television.
