We face enormous challenges in Wisconsin today.  We need to send a strong voice to Madison to represent western Wisconsin.

My background as a small business owner gives me an understanding of how tax and regulatory burdens affect our employers.  I got involved in local government because I am a fiscal conservative committed to controlling spending and lower taxes.  During 6 years on the Hudson City Council from ’96-’02, I fought to control spending, helping to make our city’s tax rate one of the lowest in Wisconsin.

After three terms on the Council, I turned my attention to family and business once again until running for Mayor in 2008.  As Mayor we cut taxes by 5% the first year by introducing innovative and creative cost-saving measures that saved the City over $500,000 each year.  During these tough economic times we need government to tighten budgets just like our Wisconsin families are doing.  I have a proven record of cutting taxes and controlling spending.

We need to work together to find solutions that work for Wisconsin.  Since our campaign began in April, we’ve been talking about my vision for moving Wisconsin in a new direction.  More jobs.  Less Spending.  Lower taxes.
